What is a Sub-Genre?

A sub-Genre is a drama that could be fit into another category within a particular genre in the film. For example there may be a sub-genre within genres such as comedy, romance or horror.

Sub-Genres within teen films can be found in films such as: Twilight saga, Halloween: teen horror, Heathers and Clueless and TV drama’s such as Buffy the vampire slayer, the vampire diaries and teen wolf
