Evaluation of Planning and production of Deception

Throughout the planning and making of Deception I feel I have learnt and used many skills.
Throughout the planning stage I had to use research skills to decide what kind of title sequence I wanted to create. This involved looking at numerous title sequences of teen movies and making note of conventions. We then had to come up with a plot for our film and draw out our storyboard and plan what and when we were going to film. This involved carrying out risk assessments etc.
In production we came across problems such as unexpected weather conditions and realization that it was just not feasible to film some shots or go to some locations as they were to far out or sufficient equipment was not available. This meant many changes to our storyboard and production schedule.
In editing it got very frustrating as some of the ideas in the group conflicted and these needed to be settled, the editing were also thrown off a little when audience feedback said out original sequence was not clear so changes had to made to make the sequence more seamless and clear.
If I were to do this project again, I went invest more time planning, planning is essential in a project like this and things run a lot smoother when sufficient planning has been put in. I would also allow more time to edit and make sure my story line and shots are more simplistic and clear,
During this project i learned to use Handbrake, Photoshop, Garageband and Final cut pro. We used final cut pro to edit our sequence and garageband to produce our music; We used photoshop and Motion to produce titles for our sequence. Handbreak was used to shrink files such as our draft sequence so it could be posted on blogger. We also used websites such as Scribd to post power points e.g. The Deception Pitch
